I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009 and Mr Smith has been my consultant from the outset, from telling me I might need a mastectomy, to confirming I would and then performing the operation and reconstruction. Throughout this time he was reassuring, explained everything clearly and made sure I understood my options. Whilst in no way underestimating the seriousness of the situation, he makes you feel as if you can take everything in your stride. He has a very approachable manner which puts you at ease straightaway. His skills as a surgeon are amazing and I feel blessed to have been under his care. He has given me confidence in my appearance and that is no mean feat. I am really pleased to have been given the opportunity to 'sing his praises' and will be eternally grateful to him for the care he has taken of me. I cannot think of anyway in which he could improve!

If only all doctors were like Mr Smith.
He puts you totally at ease, he listens, he is knowledgeable, he is skillful - what more can a worried patient need than someone like him? Honestly, we are very lucky to have him in our area.
He has looked after me for 5 years now and I feel blessed that he has been my surgeon and consultant throughout.
